Themeshaper Acamas Themelet giveaway

I’m a big fan of Wordpress frameworks, Themeatic from Themeshaper along with some of his Themelets (child themes) being one I particularly love because of its focus on words and content rather than slick javascript and things blinking and flashing!

The Thematic WordPress Theme is an amazing theme, back-end and design wise. I fell in love at first sight. Even among all those “premium” news and magazine style WordPress themes, I’ve never seen such a complex and also organized back-end.

WPCANDY

So cut to the chase!

I spoke with Ian Stewart the developer of Themeatic a while back if it would be possible to get some licences of Acamas to giveaway and now its been updated to be compatible with Wordpress 2.7 here they are…

Check out the demo of the child theme or themelet…

This looks like a stunning theme from a typography aspect – it would be an amazing personal blog site… something I’ve been meaning to setup for sometime and this theme with a few tweaks from myself would be perfect for me to use.

i’d like to study the structure of the design code (not steal it) and i want to use it for my blog maybe

  11. nythemes says:

I love the clean, crisp design and layout of it, not so much the font, which i would change to thematic probably for easier readability. The best part about Acamas i think is the child theme framework concept and knowing that Ian Steward is behind the Theme which means quality craftsmanship and support, it is like a BMW of Theme Brands. Would love to take it for a test drive….

I started Exploring Life in October of 2008. I am a writer, and my goal is to focus on the writing process and the development of content, however, I have struggled to find a theme that handles this well. I have also become aware of the need for a parent-child structure that I can use over a long period of time without having to worry about theme changes and upgrades (or looking for other themes!). The Thematic-Acamas combination looks like a clean long-term solution for the site.

  18. Federico says:

I would use it as a base to redesign my school blog… There is too much information and Acamas can make it feel lighter on that side.

  19. Brian says:

I’ve been thinking about using thematic for both my blog and for client work. It would be great to start with Acamas (with a few tweaks, of course, to reflect my own style) for my blog.

Stuff I like about it: the typograghy, the clean appearance, the archives page has a real nice layout, the page navigation is subtle, but very effective.

If I like it for my site, I may purchase an additional license to run an art blog, since the layout and structure would seem to work great to allow images of artwork to stand out well.

Firstly thanks for giving a great opportunity, Roger! Together with two of my friends we’re launching a social-entrepreneurship project Memorabilia with a global vision of making travel, social activism and devoting effort to important issues fun, hip and memorable.
Pure lines of Acamas, featured articles function, SEO and high extensibility pedigree of Thematic running on stellar WordPress 2.7 will let us focus on making the company running and simply enjoy the fantastic web we will have.

  22. Joel says:

    I can has Acamas?

  23. Frenetik says:

I’d say I’d like to use this theme either on a personal basis or on a quite-professional style.

As a persnnal blog I think that there is much to do with the ergonomy of this themelet and the great work that has already been done on typography. I like Acamas because it is sleek and I also like a lot the featured function that is integrated within.
As a “nearly” professional, I would like to use it as a fulfilment of some of my internet projects. I’ve thought about different of websites I’d like to build among them a general news blog with a hint of humor and a slightly off-beat tone. I’d like this blog to be structured in different subdomains corresponding to something that I like (Design, Photography, Typography, Music & Concerts) and the feature function would be cool as an advertiser of some elements among each part of the website.

I know that these projects won’t be ready for tomorrow (because I’m really busy with my studies), but it is in my mind since a long time, so I think that I will finally do !

  24. I’d like to use this theme for my personal blog which I never change the theme for 1+ year. I like its elegant feeling and how it use negative space.

  25. BobOrchard says:

I’ve been asked to do a design for a local social services agency, Catholic Social Services of Port Huron, Michigan, and I’d like to be able to use this theme as a starting block – it’s got all the elements that I need, and I’d be able to customize it to fit their tastes.

  26. Stunning! I am a new blogger and I saw a Thesis theme and fell in love with it. I had been messing around trying to figure out how to take a free theme and make it what I wanted and have been very frustrated. Had decided to purchase Thesis today. Then today I saw this. I’m holding off now :-)

My girlfriend has been quite saddened and stressed after learning that two of our cats have feline leukemia. My plan to help her feel better is to build a blog where she can write about the experience, as a means to help others also dealing with it. It would be tremendous to have this beautiful template to work with. She would be overjoyed.

  30. Having the Acamas theme would make me a better developer. Thematic is already my framework of choice, and I've used it several times already. Acamas has all the best features all in one place. I would use as a learning tool number one, and for my next big blog project.

  31. Abigail says:

I'd use my theme just like Acamas would have wanted -as a beautiful, elegant way to ride into the online world until my readers submit…their comments!
