A couple of days ago I added the ability for those leaving comments on my TwiTip Twitter Tips blog to add their Twitter ID as well as their URL to comments. Since doing this I’ve been asked time and time again how we did it. In this guest post Sean Walberg (the guy who actually made it happen and who is my server admin on TwiTip) explains how he did it.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best…

After seeing this and implementing it on my own blog I DM’d a good friend and creator of the CommentLuv plugin Andy Bailey.

Sure enough Andy was up for the challenge of turning this idea into a WP plugin, upload, activate, customize some setting in the admin page, and add one simple piece of code to the comments.php file.

Several pieces of Chicken and can’s of Coke later and Andy releases it to the world WP Twitip ID.
