Early Google PR (page rank) update December 2008

I’ve always been interested in the Google PR (Page Rank) of my sites probably stems from when I started learning about SEO and spent some time in an infamous forums at DigitalPoint ;)
Suffice to say Google have updated their PR and Onetime has gone straight in at PR3 although it seems that any new blog can go straight in at PR3 these day’s as long as you add some content?
Any good experiences with Google Page Rank for the last update of 2008? Did they penalize you this time let us know!
Also does PR really matter?

I’ve been at PR4 for a couple of years now and stayed that way. S’ok I guess. :)

Styletime stayed at a PR3 on the homepage but all the inner pages are n/a ;( google indexed the new site architecture and url’s but the redirection from the old WP sites wasnt in place so nothing is transferred yet…

I just noticed the PR update today, im always intrestd in PR rank but its not the be all and end all of a site, but its a good indication of who is linking to you, my site went from PR 0 (the birth) – PR 4 ( Month 3 ) and latest upate PR 5 ( month 6 ) i wouldnt be surprised if it goes back to 4 though!

Jim, it’s not just about traffic. I have two PR4 blogs and I’m sure I do not get much traffic. And it’s not just about who links to you; it’s also about commenting on others’ blogs. Do you do that? Are you involved in the conversation?

Joy, yes I do converse a lot. I try to add something to a conversation if I can. I do have a bunch of blogs that I read, including this one, that I comment on a lot.

I do not know if Google updates the pagerank, but I already has over 1 years with a PR4, every time Google does not put it more difficult to attract visitors to our site, Google wants all the web traffic for them, is not just be left to compete and I am trying to get by with Google Adsense.Pero really earn a pittance if you have it 5 to attract more visitors.
