Twitter Pro, will there be such a beast?
by Roger
I mean How much would you pay for a supposed PRO Twitter account and what ‘extras’ would you expect for that?
And Yes this is a post on an old subject but brought back to life, Will there ever be a Pro account? Twitter have said NO many times…
I wasn’t fortunate to be included in the Twitter beta for the new Lists feature so was reading a few posts and came across Twitter Lists; Limitations, bugs, impact, and brilliance from Robert Scoble.
Down at the end of the comments someone asked ‘What would you pay for Lists with less bugs?’, and as response
I would bundle a bunch of features together. I’d pay a lot for an improved Twitter.
Which got me Thinking what features are there that are not already covered by Twitter or a plethora of other services / clients that would make Twitter chargeable?
I mean lists are no new thing, the ability to follow a list of people isn’t new, the ability to group people has been available for a long time, link tracking is available everywhere…
- Analytics of people that visit your profile page?
- Verified/Certified accounts? What are we Microsoft now?
- Ad free? Hardly conspicuous advertising at the moment…
- Guaranteed uptime? Would have thought that was a necessary evil now Pro or not…
What features would you want to see?, and How much would you pay if anything?

Guaranteed uptime would definitely be worth paying for, but is worthless if all non-pro accounts are offline. It would be the equivalent of having a conversation with yourself.
