Nice post. I use bit.ly also but through the Tweedeck Adobe Air application. I cut and paste the article’s title or write my own title if I feel it offers a better explanation towards how the article could be relevant to my followers.

Next I paste the URL into Tweetdeck’s url shortener. The bit.ly Firefox plugin makes viewing click-through numbers a breeze. You can learn more about the bit.ly plugin for Firefox here:

Personally I use the ubiquity plugin for Firefox which has built in url shortening via tinyurl and interfaces with the Twitter API, but this is a nice tutorial to get started with bit.ly. Nice work. Ethan Gardner´s last blog post..Momentum CSS Framework Released
